Clothing

Produce Wash
For use as a produce wash, spray produce with All Purpose and soak in water. Rinse well.

Why It's Safe
Branch Basics All Purpose does not contain antibacterial agents such as triclosan, triclocarban, benzalkonium chloride, benzethonium chloride, and choloryxlenol. Overuse of antibacterial agents can lead to antibiotic resistant bacteria and are best not to be used regularly around the house.
Triclosan – associated with endocrine disruption, skin/eye/lung irritation, and organ system toxicity. There are high concerns for contamination with the toxic carcinogens, chloroform and dioxins.
Triclocarban – associated with organ system toxicity and possibly endocrine disruption.
Benzalkonium chloride - associated with severe skin, eye, and respiratory irritation and allergies. Peer reviewed publications shows this ingredient causes reproductive toxicity in mice.
Benzethonium chloride – allergen and skin, eye, and tissue irritant
Chloroxylenol – skin, eye, and lung irritant, associated with contact dermatitis and limited evidence of immune system toxicity.
