Ginger Tea

This comforting tea gives incredible relief to burning throats and warms chilled bodies.
Ginger not only relieves pain but also has amazing anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory capacities. Health benefits of ginger may include:
Aids in digestion/relieves indigestion
Combats nausea
Reduces joint pain
Lowers blood sugar
Relieves menstrual pain
Lowers cholesterol
Has anti-cancer properties
Improves brain function
Fights infection
Recipe
2 inches of ginger root
1 inch of turmeric root (optional)
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 Lemon
2 cups water
Cut ginger root and turmeric root into slices. Add ginger and turmeric to water and bring to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes. Squeeze lemon into a cup and add honey. Pour ginger water over a strainer into the cup with honey and lemon. Stir and enjoy once tea has reached desired temperature.

Chill leftovers for iced tea.
